WiN, his National Geographic Explorer colleagues, the artist from Hong Kong, and the Emerging islands from the Philippines gave talks to the general public entitled "Postcards from Planet Possible" and organized the workshop "Once Upon a Coastline" at the Sustainability Expo 2022, Bangkok, Thailand.

WiN research on parading shrimp was featured in a Chinese science newspaper for kids (Sunshine Youth Daily). This newspaper was distributed to more than 100,000 kids in China! Special thanks to the reporter, Xu Li, for the great opportunity to share my research with many kids.

WiN was invited to give a special talk entitled "The lost shrimp: conservation and opportunities for sustainable ecotourism using Parading Shrimp as a flagship species" to several government sectors and policy makers in NamYuen district, Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. This talk covered the current situation of parading shrimp population, anthropogenic threats, and possible solution for conservation through ecotourism.

WiN and Fashion designer Carolina Hernandez designed a dress "Sarcastic Fringehead", which was inspired by the Sarcastic Fringehead, the local fish species in California. The dress was exhibited at the La Jolla Fashion Show "Smart is Sexy" together with other five science-inspired dresses. This work illustrated how can we use Science in Art! Income from this event was donated to several charitable organizations in San Diego.
